With Michelle Bridges signing on as a contestant on Network Ten’s revamped Dancing with the Stars, it’s meant she and partner Steve Commando Willis have spent more time apart. And it seems to have put a strain on their relationship.
It’s been about two months since the couple, who share 3-year-old son Axel together, have been spotted out in public and in a telling sign that they “are finding the separation difficult”, Steve took to social media last week to share a heartfelt post about “Lessons in loneliness”.
The post, an excerpt from Lion’s Roar – a Buddhist magazine – read: “My partner is away … and I’m holding down the fort.” It continues: “… Now, wake up each day alone.”
Just weeks earlier, Michelle also took to Instagram to express her heartache after spending time away from her family.
“A new appreciation to all the mums out there … who have to make that decision which results in being away from your bubbas and family,” she wrote.
“My heart breaks with every day I’m away.”
