The Hewitt family have relocated to exciting London ahead of Wimbledon – but the holiday spirit was not in evidence, as a tense-looking Bec Hewitt appeared to give tennis star husband Lleyton Hewitt some seriously stern energy.

After breakfasting together in the British capital, the family were photographed in a deep discussion that seemed to climax with former Home and Away star Bec lightly ‘telling off’ and then apparently giving the cold shoulder to her husband.
Perhaps keen to make up for whatever had made is wife unhappy, Lleyton leaned in for a kiss, with Bec, seemingly somewhat coldly, offering him her cheek – her body language farm from enthusiastic.
The family then parted ways, with kids Cruz and Ava headed off to practice with Lleyton, while Bec took daughter Mia out for the day.
Rumours have recently simmered that behind closed doors there’s tension in the household.
Last year, the couple were seen at the Melbourne Cup having a tense exchange and various outlets reported that the tennis ace had ‘grown tired of his wife’s demands’. Also around the same time, sources told New Idea that Bec was planning a career comeback after having put her acting on hold while Lleyton pursued his sporting profession.
Yet just as she was planning negotiations with the producers her husband’s alleged meddling got in the way. It seems that Hollywood is still just a dream for the star, with the family dividing time between Australia and the Bahamas.
‘There was a scene where Bec was required to slow dance with her on-screen husband and he said no to that,’ said the source.
‘As time went by, he got worse and people really had to consider if the movie could move forward with his involvement. Bec was great, but everyone knows he was going to be difficult,’ the insider spilled.
‘The producers wanted Bec because she is talented and hasn’t worked in recent times,’ says the source. ‘She’s a great actor and her return would have been celebrated. She was all for it, too, excited but still nervous, and said she would love to get back into acting.’
Yet since Bec became a mother to their three children her focus has been on raising her brood as the primary caregiver while Lleyton focused on his work for the past decade.
‘I would love to get back into acting,’ Bec said in a previous interview. ‘Over the past 10 years, I guess it’s been a bit difficult as we haven’t been in one place at one time.’
Whatever the star’s plans for the future, it seems that tennis is coming first. Let’s hope Wimbledon is fun for everyone!
