On Thursday night’s season finale of Bachelor In Paradise, it was time for Ivan to face the music.
But it wasn’t a tune the aspiring dancer could bust a move to.
Fans will remember his “scary” and “possessive” behaviour towards Tenille, which resulted in serious public backlash and concern from her fellow Paradisers.
Five months after the series of incidents were filmed, Ivan returned for Thursday night’s BIP reunion, where he said he learned from his mistakes, and blamed his worrying behaviour partially on society.
Hanging his head as highlights of his low moments were re-played for viewers, he was visibly uncomfortable.
“If I can help some men realise that some behaviour is not OK,” he admitted to host Osher, in front of Tenille.
Then he said he was unaware of his traits “it’s probably normalised in society.”
“Men need to be more aware of their actions and stuff.
“Sometimes we don’t know what we’re doing or what we’re saying, and you know, we don’t get pulled up on it sometimes or people don’t see it,” he explained.
“The only reason I probably saw it is because it’s on national TV. Unfortunately some people don’t learn form their mistakes, and I have in front of the whole nation.”
