International model David Genat was branded the villain when he appeared on Australian Survivor earlier this year.

But now, it appears there’s no bad blood between the star and his fellow islanders, after he recently inspired them to strip off and take part in a cheeky towel challenge.
The challenge, which started when David shared a racy snap of himself in the buff, requires people to strip off and pose for a selfie with nothing more than a well-positioned towel.
“I have had the privilege of working with the best of the best over my career and this towel was no exception,” David captioned the pic, which showed his bulging pecs.
The 39-year-old explained that the cheeky snap was a throwback to when he previously worked with the famous photographer Mario Testino.
It wasn’t long before the #goldentowelchallenge went viral, with the likes of Johnny Eastoe, Daisy Richardson, Shaun Hampson and Lydia Lassila following suit.
Johnny shared a snap of himself and enticed Rohan Maclaren and John Tan to take part, while David challenged Abbie Homes and Keegan Brooksby to take part.
Taking to Instagram, Abbie laughed off the request, saying: “what a bunch”, while Keegan stripped off while on holiday and took a selfie of himself in the buff.
“Thanks for showing me the modeling ropes and letting me enjoy my holiday,” Keegan wrote, before challenging David’s rival-turned-bro Shaun Hampson to take part.
Shaun then shared a tongue-in-cheek snap of himself in the raw, which showed him reading a book about TV presenter Richard Wilkins.
“Thought I’d tick off the #goldentowelchallenge and some light reading at the same time,” Shaun captioned, before challenging Ross Clarke-Jones to take part.
While Ross and Luke Toki are still to strip down and take part, David was pleased to announce on Friday that Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia had taken the plunge.
“I had to tell you this, dreams do come true. Go check out Jonathan LaPaglia’s Instagram page,” David said in a video that appeared on his Stories.
“While you guys are busy posing with your towels I’m here working hard,” Jonathan captioned the snap, which showed him leaning over a car engine.
