It’s been 21 years since the world lost its People Princess, Diana Princess of Wales to a car accident in Paris.

But her memory, and sense of humour, lives on thanks to her sons, Prince William and Harry.

In the documentary, Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, which has resurfaced since the 20 year anniversary of her death, William and Harry open up about their mother and reveal the mischief the three would get up to behind palace doors.

For William, there is one particular memory from his childhood, which still makes him laugh today – and it involved three of the most beautiful women in the world.

“She (Diana) organised when I came home from school to have Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell waiting at the top of the stairs,” William recalls with a smile.

Understandably, William, who was just 12 years old at the time, admits he was a ball of nerves when he came face-to-face with the supermodels.

“I went bright red and I didn’t quite know what to say and sort of fumbled, and I think I pretty much fell down the stairs on the way up.”

The Duke of Cambridge also went on to reveal the hilarious boobs-shaped cake his mother had made for him to mark his 13th birthday.

Meanwhile, Harry has his own fond memories of his mother.

“She was one of the naughtiest parents,” Harry remembers, adding Diana would often smuggle sweets into his socks.

“One of her mottos to me was, ‘You can be as naughty as you want, just don’t get caught.’”
