As the friendliest divorced couple the royal family has ever seen, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson‘s relationship has always raised eyebrows.
Now a royal insider tells New Idea that despite their recent denials, the couple are absolutely back together.

“Fergie and Andrew are desperately in love – probably more than the first time around – but they want to keep their love to themselves for a little while longer before going public,” reveals the source.
Nonetheless, last week the Duchess of York was forced to take the unusual step of publicly denying reports that she had rekindled a romantic union with her ex-husband.
Rumours that they were back together had begun when the couple were spotted holidaying in Bahrain with their daughter Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
A spokesman for Fergie said, “The Duke and Duchess remain good friends as they have been for many years, and nothing has changed.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Prince Andrew said the claim about them reuniting was “not true”.
However, our palace source insists this is all a smokescreen.
“Fergie and Andrew are closer than ever and while they’ve long denied rumours of a rekindled romance, it is common knowledge within the palace that they are together and are making definite plans for the future.”
But despite their plans to remarry at some point, Sarah and Andrew have decided not to reveal anything publicly yet.
While there are reports this is because the couple want to wait until after the Duke of Edinburgh has died – he has long disapproved of Fergie, once calling her a “royal embarrassment” and “having no point” – there are other, more touching, reasons they’ve held back.
They want to focus on their family and wait until their daughters are happily settled before turning the spotlight on their own relationship.
“Fergie and Andrew have a very strong family unit and their daughters mean everything to them.
“Both of their girls are moving into new phases of their lives – Bea plans to marry soon and Eugenie is in baby mode – so they really want to just focus on their daughters over the next 12 months.”
Fergie and Andrew have always made it clear that family is their priority.
“The thing about Andrew and I is that we go with our hearts, we go with the family unity. We really believe in that, you can see that the York family unity, it’s all about seeing the light in life,” Sarah told the BBC ahead of Eugenie’s wedding last year.
Their daughters adding to that family would be a dream come true for both of them.
“Eugenie is desperately trying to fall pregnant and may even already be expecting if the whispers are true,” adds the insider.
“Andrew and Fergie are both incredibly excited by the prospect of being grandparents. They’re both secretly hoping that Eugenie has a little boy. It would be a dream come true for them in more ways than one.”
