Royals to MOVE OUT of Buckingham Palace

It’s time to leave!

Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Princess Anne have all been ousted from Buckingham Palace!

The three royals will be moved out later this year as the 315-year-old building will undergo emergency renovations.

Their offices will instead be moved to St James Palace, next to Clarence House where Prince Charles currently resides.

The move was decided after a ‘catastrophic fire risk’ was uncovered.

The project is said to include removing 4,828km of vulcanised rubber cables which have been deemed as a fire risk.

The renovations are said to cost in the region of $676million and will take approximately ten years to complete.

And the royal trio are not the only ones moving during these renovations.

As part of the renovations, The Queen and Prince Philip will have to move to their apartments in 2025.

“The Duke of Edinburgh was very involved in the 1992 restoration of Windsor Castle,” a Palace official said.

“His is keen for us to follow a phased approach in the re-servicing project at Buckingham Palace and said ‘you learn from your mistakes’.”

The cost of the renovations will be paid through the Sovereign Grant, paid by the taxpayer.
