The couple are visiting the country with a large trade delegation, to mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and the Asian country. But beyond strengthening economic ties, the visit hit a personal note for Mary.

Visiting the Seoul National University Hospital, the princess met some young patients, and showed her natural ease with young kids as she learned about medical advances being made there.
‘Mary seemed very touched when she met some of the young patients,’ says a source. ‘It got emotional for her.’

The royals also attended an exhibition at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. It’s been an eventful visit with the couple even visiting the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
