Taking to Instagram, the 29-year-old shared an emotional message about her fiancé Jack Brooksbank, along with an adorable snap of the two of them together.
“On this day two years ago…Jack and I announced we were engaged,” the Princess of York captioned the snap, which was taken at the time of her big announcement.
Enthusiastic fans were quick to take to Instagram to comment on the snap, with one person writing: “We missed you, Your Royal Highness.”
Another person stated: “Gosh! that time has FLOWN by! wishing u well.”
A third person added: “Aww. Welcome back to Instagram. I hope you and Jack are doing well. You are an amazing person, philanthropist and Princess.”
Eugenie’s Instagram post comes after it was revealed she was asked to pick up the slack and “step up” her royal workload after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell announcement.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced on January 6 that they would be “stepping back” as senior royals – and their decision has had repercussions throughout the family.
While the couple said they will work to become financially independent, “while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” their plan to move to North America has been speculated to impact the number of duties they’ll undertake.
Princess Eugenie and her sister Beatrice have been named by some royal commentators as two of the members of the ‘firm’ who could step up and carry out engagements after Meghan and Harry’s exit.
