His brother Prince William has openly discussed how he and wife Kate Middleton talk regularly to their three children about Princess Diana.
Now, it’s Prince Harry’s turn.
As the Duchess of Sussex prepares to give birth to the couple’s first child, it has been revealed that the couple will use a few tricks Harry picked up from his mother when it comes to raising their little one.
In a bid to give their child a normal upbringing, it is understood that Prince Harry will adopt his late mother’s parenting style, and is encouraging Meghan to do so also.
Speaking to The Sun, royal photographer Arthur Edwards, said: “Prince Harry to a degree had a pretty normal upbringing.
“The Prince of Wales probably introduced him to Shakespeare and probably the Opera.
“But, Diana took them to McDonald’s and the cinema and took them to the arches to see homeless people to realise how much privilege they had.”
The Duke of Sussex has previously told media that he will do all that he can to ensure Princess Diana is never forgotten.
“We will do everything we can to make sure that she’s never forgotten and carry on all of the special gifts, as such, that she portrayed while she was alive. I hope that my mothers talent’s are shown in a lot of the work that I do,” he told Good Morning America.
He added: “I hope she’s looking down with tears in her eyes being incredibly proud of what we’ve established.”
Princess Diana died in a tragic Paris car crash on August 31, 1997.
Meanwhile, William admits he often talks often to George, Charlotte, and now Louis about ‘Granny Diana’ who would have ‘loved them to bits’.
“I think constantly about Granny Diana,” he said in an interview last year. “So we’ve got more photos up around the house now… it’s hard because Catherine didn’t know her, so cannot provide that level of detail.”
It was also revealed last year that William has followed in his mothers footsteps when it comes to taking his children out in public.
According to a Buckingham Palace source, the Duke takes their hands, gets down on one knee and engages with them at eye-level, a tactic Diana regularly used and one Harry also plans to adopt later on.
