Towards the end of 1995, there are rumours that Prince Charles was having an affair with his children’s nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke.
Such was their relationship that Diana was convinced Tiggy became pregnant with her husband’s child, which she later aborted.
Tiggy Legge-Bourke was the attractive daughter of a friend of the Queen, employed by the Prince of Wales to act as a combination of big sister and companion to Prince Harry and Prince William when they were spending time with their father.
Diana became jealous of Tiggy.

She had spies in the enemy camp so was aware that Tiggy had taken a great deal of time off work that summer, and believed it was because she was pregnant by Prince Charles and had aborted the baby.
Diana knew that when she had custody of Harry and William, Tiggy helped out in Prince Charles’ office.
Diana confronted Tiggy at the annual Christmas staff party Prince Charles held at St James’ Palace.
She approached Tiggy saying with feigned sympathy, “What a pity, you had so much time off for the baby.”
Upset by Diana’s remark, Tiggy left the party in tears.
