A resurfaced documentary from the eighties has revealed how Prince Charles really feels about being next in line for the throne.
The 1983 documentary in question, Charles and Di: In Private In Public, stated: “The prince doesn’t say he has a job, he says he has a role.”
“The accumulation of causes and duties and preferences compressed into a timetable.”
The Prince of Wales would meet with Princess Diana and the entire administration team every six months to go through their list of engagements for the year.
The documentary also showed the Princess under strain from all the royal duties she had to undertake.

The night before the wedding in 1981, the documentary’s interviewer David Rippon spoke to the Princess.
“I suppose it’s one of the most important things you’re going to have to adjust to really, isn’t it?” He questioned.
“Of course, yes.” Diana said somewhat wearily with her head resting on her hand.
The throne will pass onto Prince Charles if The Queen abdicates or dies.

According to Clarence House if Charles becomes King he will take the name Charles III, however The Guardian claimed that as he was christened Charles Phillip Arthur George, he has told ‘trusted friends’ he wants to take on the name George VII.
His wife Camilla, will however probably not take the title Queen according to the palace as she is a divorcee and will most likely be called Princess Consort.
