It was the moment we were ALL waiting for – the modern royals stepped out for the first time together, and it was every bit as glamorous and magical as we had hoped.
All eyes were on Ms Markle, and what exactly she was going to wear to her first Christmas with the royal family.
Meghan looked stunning in a camel coat with brown leather gloves, bag and boots to match.
However, royal style watchers couldn’t help but notice Markle’s look was strikingly similar to that of her future sister-in-law’s Christmas debut ensemble.
US Weekly broke down Markle’s first holiday look, which included a camel Sentaler wrap coat (now sold out) with a wide collar and ribbed cuffs. Markle paired the statement coat with a Philip Tracey hat, Stuart Weitzman boots, a Chloe bag and matching leather gloves. The bride-to-be was an absolute showstopper!
For Kate’s first royal Christmas in 2011 (William was on active duty with the RAF for 2010 and the couple did not appear together), the then newlyweds went for a a tonal ensemble as well – but Kate opted for a burgundy. Much like Meghan’s look, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a long statement coat, with matching accessories in a lighter shade.
