The reason Meghan is finding it difficult to get along with Harry’s friends

The really came from two different worlds...

Since marrying Prince Harry and earning the title of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan has managed to become accustomed to royal life quite well. However, there is one area that she is struggling in.

It appears that Meghan is having issues befriending those in her husband’s inner circle. A royal source has claimed that Meghan is struggling to bond with Harry’s friends due to her strong political beliefs.

Speaking to The Daily Beast, Lady Colin Campbell revealed that Meghan is “ultra-liberal and that trendy-lefty stuff does not go down well with some of Harry’s friends.”

Although Meghan has been introduced to Harry’s friends at weddings, parties and private dinners, she is quite against everything that their world functions on such as hunting. As Meghan is an big animal lover and against hunting, Harry chose to respect her views and not take part in the royal family’s annual Christmas hunt last year.

Prior to becoming a part of the royal family, Meghan was quite outspoken on her political views and advocated for women’s rights. A speech she made for UN Women on ‘speaking up for your values’ has been view over eight million times on YouTube.

However, royals have to abide by a rule that states they cannot vote or show any political views.

Obeying by the strict ruling is proving difficult for the new royal. In July, the 37-year-old accidentally broke the royal protocol by being pleased to heard the Irish people head voted ‘Yes’ in the abortion referendum.

This was confirmed in a tweet posted by Senator Catherine Noone who met Meghan at at the British Embassy in Dublin during a garden party. She wrote, “The Duchess & I had a chat about the recent referendum result – she watched with interest & was pleased to see the result.”

The Senator later deleted the tweet following replies from her followers saying Meghan had broken the rule. She later clarified that it was a “very benign chat” and the Meghan “expressed no political opinion.”

Senator Noone also cleared up that she deleted the tweet as it was “misleading”.
