When Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle in November 2017, the soon-to-be Duchess showed off a sparkling ring which featured a thick gold band, offset by the row of three diamonds, including one of the late Princess Diana’s diamonds.
But just over a year after the couple’s May 2018 wedding, Duchess Meghan debuted her updated engagement ring at the Trooping the Colour in June.
With the new design now having a much thinner diamond-studded micro-pave gold band, while the original diamonds remain.
And while fans have been quick to comment on how much they love Meghan’s redesigned engagement ring, some eagle-eyed royal watchers have noticed a disturbing detail.
Meghan’s new ring is, in fact, surprisingly similar to the engagement ring she was given by her first husband, Trevor Engelson.
The revamped band show’s the Duchess clearly has a very specific style that she prefers.
As Harry worked with designers to create Meghan’s original engagement ring, we wonder whether he had any input into the new design – or whether he’s made the ‘ex’ connection.
