The Duchess of Sussex, 44, stopped working in front of the camera in 2017 following her engagement to Prince Harry.

Before that, Meghan famously appeared as Rachel Zane in the smash hit TV series Suits, but retired to focus on her royal duties.

Since stepping down as a senior royal, Meghan has returned to the film industry, but behind the camera with her and Harry’s media company, Archewell Productions.

However, Meghan’s former co-star Abigail Spencer has ignited chatter about Meghan returning to acting with a telling comment.

Abigail, who played Dana Scott on Suits, remains very close friends with Meghan and revealed that she would love her to make a cameo on her upcoming TV show.

The actress has just finished filming season one of Best Medicine, the US spin-off of Doc Martin, and floated the idea of Meghan making a brief appearance in series two.

“I don’t know if we’re going to get Meghan Markle, but Meghan would be amazing. I love all of my Suits cast,” she told US Weekly, according to GB News.

Abigail said she would also love to reunite with her other Suits co-stars, including Patrick J Adams, Gabriel Macht, and Sarah Rafferty on screen.

“Everyone I’ve ever worked with [should join Best Medicine],” she quipped.

Since stepping away from acting, Meghan has instead fronted her own factual lifestyle series on Netflix, titled With Love, Meghan.

A firm supporter of Meghan’s, Abigail notably made a cameo on the series alongside other major names, including Mindy Kaling and Chrissy Teigen.

It was not renewed for a third season, but Harry and Meghan still have a lucrative deal with Netflix, which is reportedly worth $AUD150 million.

They have released several documentaries with the streaming giant, including Live to Lead (2022), Heart of Invictus (2023), and Polo (2024).

Their 2022 tell-all documentary, Harry & Meghan, was also one of Netflix’s most-watched documentary premieres ever.
