Kate Middleton has spoken out about the “debilitating” struggles of being a parent, Express.co.uk reports.

Addressing a crowd at the launch of her hotly anticipated woodland wilderness garden at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge admitted she acutely understands the isolation often experienced by new parents.

“I can understand that people are nervous about asking for help for fear of judgement, and how that sense of isolation can quickly become overriding and debilitating.

“Recognising that the task of parenting is substantial, I have realised the importance of working to make it easier for parents to request support.

“There are undoubtedly challenges in trying to bring about the transformation that will make a positive change for generations to come to help break the intergenerational cycle of disadvantage and trauma, yet I am inspired b=every day by the people I meet and am committed to supporting this endeavour,” she added.

Kate, 37, is mother to Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, four and one-year-old Prince Louis with husband Prince William.

The Duchess is a vocal advocate of children’s charities and is patron of no less than 10 organisations including Action for Children and Place2Be.

Since May 2018 she has worked with The Royal Foundation to improve assistance programmes for vulnerable parents and kids in Britain.
