Visiting with Prince William to tour local farms, the Duchess of Cambridge met two young sisters, who became momentarily shy when they encountered their idol.
‘It’s a princess. You love princesses!’ the girls’ father announced, as the two youngsters shook Kate’s hand.
With the girls tongue tied at meeting a real life member of the royal family, dad intervened, telling the royal, ‘She wanted to know if you’d be wearing your Princess Elsa dress,’ referring to the popular Frozen character.
‘I know. I’m sorry,’ Kate responded. ‘I came in my trousers and my coat because I’m going to see some sheep.’

Good humoured responses aside, Kate has been compared to the Disney princess before.
During a 2017 visit to the Palladium Theatre’s Royal Variety Performance, the royal wore a light blue Jenny Packham dress covered in sequins and crystals that drew comparisons to Elsa at the time.

Kate charmed the girls by complimenting them on their French broad pigtails, calling the style ‘so pretty’.
‘I tried to do a plait with Charlotte this morning, and it didn’t really work very well,’ she shared.
Maybe Elsa would have done a better job!
