Ever dreamt of working for the Queen? Well now it’s a possibility, with the monarch advertising for a new social media manager – just don’t expect a royal-sized pay cheque.

The royal Digital Communications Officer, which includes managing the House of Windsor’s social media platforms – means you’ll be Her Majesty’s Instagram guru, as well as managing websites and writing articles.
‘Whether you’re covering a state visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences,’ says the Royal Household job description.
‘With an eye to the future, you’ll help hone and shape our digital communications through analytics, monitoring and exploring new technologies.’
If that sounds extremely glamorous, the pay definitely isn’t enough to keep up with the boss. The salary is around A$55,000 per year, depending on level of experience.
On the upside, free lunch is included, and there’s a 15 percent employer contribution pension program.
