When Meghan Markle attended the 2018 WellChild Awards alongside husband Prince Harry, eagle eyed fans zeroed in on the outfit the duchess wore.
The 37-year-old stunned in an Altuzarra suit and accessorised with a black clutch bag and a pair of pearl earrings.

However, it was the earrings in particular that caught the interest of fans as apparently they were taken from the Queen’s own collection. The pearl and diamond design also held a very special meaning symbolizing luck and protection.
According to Bellatory, pearls “symbolise wisdom [and] attract wealth and luck as well as offer protection”.
They’re also said to symbolise “purity, generosity, integrity and loyalty,” and have a calming effect.

The royal has previously worn the jewellery before on her first solo outing with the Queen in Cheshire earlier this year.
It has been confirmed by Buckingham Palace that the pearl and diamond earrings were in fact a gift from the Queen although it is unknown when Her Majesty gifted them.
