The Crown Princess Mary of Denmark stepped out solo at the opening of the Henning Larsen Architect Firm NYC Office Grand Opening, in New York, on September 24.
Her husband Crown Prince Frederik is currently recovering from back surgery, so the Princess is making the royals rounds alone.
Wearing a stunning blue and red mottled frock, Princess Mary paired her outfit with a navy jacket and matching heels.
Despite her husband’s current health ailments, the 44-year-old appeared in good spirits.
After Crown Prince Frederik underwent the surgery earlier this month, he was forced to cancel any royal engagements, leaving Princess Mary to take on the duties.
Earlier this week, Princess Mary attended the Design Awards 2018 held at the Bellevue Theater north of Copenhagen and was asked to present an award to one of the 12 designers to honour the best Danish designers and design talents.
Mary suffered an awkward incident while presenting the prestigious award for Designer of the Year to designer and architect Lars Vejen.
As the pair took photos together with the award, the contents of the award box fell out and landed on the stage by their feet.
Photographers at the event managed to capture the award box contents fall to the floor as Mary reacted in surprise.
Luckily, the award was quickly put back together without any broken pieces.
