It’s been confirmed that Prince Charles’ other half with be ‘Godmother’ to a cruise ship the Spirit of Discovery. While not up there will her next planned royal title – Queen – it’s certainly a lot of fun.

The Duchess will be attending a naming ceremony for the ship in Dover next month, which will involve a tour of the ship.

‘Carrying fewer than 1,000 passengers, she is a boutique ship that offers our customers and members the highest standards of accommodation, furnishings, cuisine and entertainment.’

It’s been a busy week for the former Camilla Parker Bowles, who has risen dramatically in popularity, after a viral moment in which she was filmed winking behind the back of US president Donald Trump, during his British tour – which included a visit to Buckingham Palace. Among the gathered royals – including Queen Elizabeth, the Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, it was Camilla that ended up grabbing all of the headlines.

But there appeared to be no hard feelings about the widely-publicised incident, with Camilla and Charles warmly greeted at an event the following night at the residence of the US ambassador.

While the Queen was not present at that event, Camilla seemed to rule the evening, photographed smiling with the attending dignitaries. This comes after some awkward headlines that have focussed on the absences of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, and some past indiscrete comments that Trump made about Princess Diana.
