MKR: Nic’s love crisis

While Nic has stayed out of the cross re around the heated Instant Restaurant rounds, at home he’s been experiencing a real-life love drama.

The Sydney soccer fan tells New Idea that he’s been in a four-year relationship with his American girlfriend, Molly, living on opposite sides of the globe for most of that time.

But now Nic says the time has come to decide whether he’ll leave Australia for good to be with Molly, who works as a doctor in Florida.

‘I’ve been with her for four years, we’ve been having a long-distance relationship and now I’ve got to make the decision about whether I’m going to live there or not,’ says Nic. ‘And that’s why I was there for Christmas to check out where she lives, and see if I can live there. Which I think I can – a bit of a change of plan for me!’

The pair met in Las Vegas while Nic was away on a bucks’ holiday, but it wasn’t until they spent a lot of time together that the Italian caterer knew she was The One.

‘She didn’t give me a headache – so I thought: “She’s a keeper!”’ he laughs.
