Married At First Sight contestants Ryan Gallagher and Ashley Irvin sparked a media frenzy yesterday when they were spotted doing grocery shopping together.
Now, the 29-year-old tradie has finally broken his silence.
Speaking to the Canberra Times, Ryan said he and Ashley had made plans to hang out after the show if he ever traveled to Queensland.
He said: ‘I rang her and said, ‘What are you doing?’ And she said, ‘Just playing tennis all day, I’m not working’. And I said, ‘I’ll play tennis, I’m coming’.’
Ryan denied the rumours that claimed the two had any sort of romantic involvement, revealing the two were simply running errands.
He said: ‘On the way back, her parents wanted something from Woollies so we stopped in the shops and the video was taken. It looks like we’re bloody going back to our own apartment. But we’re definitely not together. Just friends.’
