British diving hunk Tom Daley may be a favourite with the UK press, but the mum of Dan Goodfellow, his equally talented Olympic dive partner, is less than impressed that her son has been shunted to the background as the Brits celebrate the pair’s bronze medal win in Rio.
Proud mother Sharon Goodfellow angrily tweeted ‘Is this for real?’ after a British newspaper celebrated the third placing by running this photo of Tom on the cover – with her son nowhere in sight.
But today she told British TV that while she’s annoyed, her son, 19, ‘is happy to be in the background’.
