Adam Paul Davidson faced court on Friday charged with grievous bodily harm for the attack on Brett Peter Cowan, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of 13-year-old Daniel in 2003, last month inside the Wolston Correctional Centre in Queensland.

It is alleged Davidson filled a bucket with hot water before pouring it on Cowan. Davidson then reportedly beat him with a mop and bucket, says Yahoo news.

He said in court on Friday that he orchestrated the attack ‘for the people’.

Despite reports more than one person was responsible for the attack, Davison is the only person being charged.

The Brisbane Times reports police say nobody else will be charged and ‘the matter had been finalised.’

Davidson will appear in court later this month.
