As she contemplates prison while awaiting sentencing after being caught money laundering, Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has revealed she is ‘scared to death’.
Facing up to ten years imprisonment, the founder of the American TV series was convicted of laundering over $160,000 into the US from Australia in zip lock bags hidden in her luggage following a dance tour Down Under.
Having pled guilty to one count of concealing bankruptcy assets and one count of not reporting an international monetary transaction, the reality show star is taking responsibility for her actions and says her ‘sense of humour’ is helping her through.
‘My support system used to be the moms on Dance Moms, but not anymore,’ Abby told the Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss podcast, adding, ‘I hope to be an example to others on what happens if you do not truly pay attention to your finances.’
Abby will be sentenced on October 11, while the future of Dance Moms remains uncertain.
