A dad has been slammed online after a photo emerged of his little girl playing in crocodile infested waters.
An anonymous bystander shared the photo to a Facebook group on Sunday after witnessing the girl playing in shallow water at the entry to Deep Creek off Kewarra Beach in Cairns, north Queensland.
‘I absolutely cannot fathom the stupidity of some people,’ he wrote. ‘This is at the creek at Kewara beach. Is he keeping an eye on his little girl? No.’
‘Just after I took this the young boy went even further and got right down in the water. I could not believe what I was watching.’
The concerned onlooker added there was a ‘very large croc slide on the embankment’, metres from where the children were playing.
According to the Daily Mail, a crocodile was filmed close to the shore earlier in the week.
