When Gabriel Marshall told his dad Josh he was ashamed of his scar, caused by the removal of a malignant brain tumour, the loving dad wanted to boost his son’s confidence.
In a gesture of profound love, Josh decided to get a tattoo so he could be just like his son.
‘I told him, if people wanted to stare, they could stare at both of us,’ says Josh who has won the #BestBaldDad competition organised by the St Baldrick’s Foundation.

Eight-year-old Gabriel was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma, a rare malignant brain tumour in 2015. As for how he feels about his dad’s tattoo, he loves it and says it makes them ‘twins’.
