There’s no denying how special a couple’s wedding day is, but for Christina Torino-Benton, Montreal, breastfeeding her daughter was even more important.
Now, a photo of the bride breastfeeding nine-month old Gemma during her wedding ceremony is going viral.
The picture was shared on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page, with the caption: ‘Talk about feeding anytime & anywhere. That moment when you’re getting married and your baby gets hungry 😉 feeling SO proud of myself! Fighting that good fight!’
‘At the church it was like 40 degrees, Gemma was hot, she missed her nap and was overall really crabby,’ Torino-Benton, 30, told Daily Mail.
Speaking to Kidspot, she said, ‘I’m a firm believer in secure attachment, so when she was crying I couldn’t focus on anything except her.’
‘Me taking her was the only real solution. Anyways, as soon as I got her and started to nurse, I was able to focus on my wedding and relax.’
