Farmer Wants a Wife started with a bang this week as fans got to meet the five farmers looking for love and the legion of loved-up hopefuls vying for their attention.

The first round of eliminations started off in brutal fashion; almost half the contestants were sent home after the first round of speed dates. For the rest – it was off to the farm!
For Farmer Paige – the only female farmer of the season, it was clear that she was taking the show seriously, choosing only to take four men through to the next round instead of the usual five.
“To be fair and respectful, I am only asking four of you to please join me on the farm, I’m really sorry that’s happened,” she explained.
“I respect you all too much to bring someone to the farm I don’t see that future with.”
Following the first day of the farm visits, Paige was down to an abysmal three contenders after Marty left the competition due to health problems.
“Unfortunately it doesn’t look like I’m gonna be able to make it back to the farm at the moment,” he explained in a phone call.
“You got a few good blokes there so I think you’ll be all right. Good luck with everything and hopefully one of those boys is the one.”
But eagle-eyed fans have spotted an obvious clue in the season’s trailer which indicates Paige is set to be introduced to a few more hopeful bachelors.
In the trailer, only one of her current contenders – 26-year-old carpenter Glen – is visible.
The two other men featured in the footage seem to be ‘intruders’ – with viewers left scratching their heads at who the tattooed fair-haired man and a second blond gentleman are.
Channel Seven has confirmed to Kidspot that in an upcoming episode Sam Armytage will be introducing each farmer to two more potential matches.
The move isn’t entirely surprising – in the 2021 season, each of the farmer’s mums chose a new date for each of them to meet three weeks into the experiment.
Looks like there’s more contestants to come for our unlucky-in-love farmers.
