McCormack was allegedly warned by friends about his interest in dating younger men prior to his arrest over child porn offences, News Corps reports.

A former colleague of the star Channel Nine reporter claims he “would often show photos of guys he was seeing and they would always be baby-faced teens but a legal age.”

“He’s always on Grindr and having dates with young-looking men,” the source toldNews Corp.

“He was a bit of a Peter Pan, didn’t want to get old.”

The 42-year-old has been charged with possessing and exchanging pornographic materials and engaging in explicit conversations about children online.

He was released from Sydney’s Redfern Station last Thursday under a series of strict bail conditions that prohibit him from playgrounds, schools and locations frequented by minors.

McCormack has also been ordered not to communicate with anyone under the age of 16.

The Nine Network has since suspended him from duties.
