Bachelor beauty Abbie Chatfield has spoken out about claims she is pregnant with Matt Agnew’s baby.
Earlier this week, an Australian publication made claims that a Bachelor baby scandal had rocked the Ten reality show. According to the report, one of the bachelorettes was caught sneaking out of The Bachelor mansion for a secret rendezvous with Matt, in a desperate attempt to win the hunky astrophysicist over.
Ex-Bachelor star Vakoo talks about her relationship with Rachael:
While the publication chose not to name the mystery woman, a picture was included of Abbie with a circle highlighting her stomach.
However, Abbie has since hit out at the publication, denying the baby rumours and accusing the magazine of body shaming.
“The allegations of my pregnancy with Matt during filming are false and unsubstantiated,” she said in a statement to 10 Daily.
“The images used as evidence merely encourage body shaming and assume that because my stomach is not completely flat that I must be pregnant,” she continued, before going on to state that the pictures used were from a day early on in the show, when she had barely got the chance to know Matt.
Earlier this month, the 23-year-old revealed she had received such backlash from her fellow contestants after a particularly steamy date with Matt, that she seriously contemplated walking out of the competition.
“There were times [I was tempted to leave], but because I felt so strongly for Matt, I decided to stay,” a source told New Idea.
However, it was also claimed that the party-loving Queenslander had been getting close to a British backpacker just weeks before filming started.
