Lets face it – we’ve all enjoyed a yummy ‘Nice’ biccy at least once. It’s a favourite to pop out during tea time and is a staple in most Aussie households.
But apparently, we don’t know the biscuit as well as we thought we did!
According to online blogger coolatukes, it’s pronounced ‘Neice’, rather than N-‘ice.’

If this doesn’t come as a shock to you – congratulations! A recent poll conducted by Buzzfeed showed 80 per cent of biscuit fans were getting it wrong.
Apparently the origin of the name, and pronunciation, dates back to Queen Victoria.
The Queen developed a taste for biscuits and she reportedly took a large supply of the yummy coconut biccy to Nice, France with her. Hence, the pronunciation becoming skewed.
Excuse us while we go satisfy our craving for a Nice biscuit and some tea.
