With the Easter long weekend just days away, many of us are busy planning all our festivities.But with so many public holidays, it’s hard to keep track of which major supermarkets and bottle shops are open when.
So here’s a guide to help you through shopping at all your favourite stores – just what we all need! You’re welcome!
Good Friday
All Aldi stores will remain closed, and most major Coles and Woolworths stores won’t be open on Good Friday.
Woolworths will have some stores open, however many of these are smaller stores connected to Caltex petrol stations. In Queensland, Brisbane airport’s Woolworths will remain open – while in South Australia, Murray Bridge Marketplace Woolworths and Victor Harbor Woolworths will also stay open.
Most IGAs will stick to their normal opening hours across the Easter long weekend break including Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. As for bottle shops, Vintage Cellars, Liquorland and First Choice will all be closed on Good Friday – so it’s probably best to stock up on alcohol on Thursday!Easter SaturdayMost Woolworths, Aldi and Coles are open on Easter Saturday making it your best day over the long weekend for a big old shop. Some locations may have reduced hours – be sure to check your local store’s trading hours. As for bottle shops, they will be trading as usual.
