Wiggles‘ stars Lachlan Gillespie and Emma Watkins announced their split last month but a recent social media interaction between the pair has led people to believe that a reconciliation may be on the table.
On Friday, the purple wiggle took to Instagram to share a sweet image of his ex-wife as a celebration of her 29th birthday alongside the caption “💛Happy Birthday Emmashka 💛” with yellow hearts to represent her Wiggles colour.
What followed in the comments was a flirty exchange between the pair with Emma responding, “Hehehehe Hehehehe” followed by a series of hearts.
Earlier this month, the couple’s first televised interview since their split aired. In the interview for ABC’s Australia Story, Emma hinted at a potential reconciliation. She told the show, “Lachie and I still really wanted to work on our relationship, and work through some things together,”
“I think being busy has been very helpful. Now it feels like a bit of a relief. Now it feels like we can still work on that relationship, and we are,”
Although she mentioned a ‘relationship’ it’s unclear on if she meant the one between her and Lachy personally or professionally.
The pair met when they both joined The Wiggles in 2013 and begun dating shortly afterwards. In 2015 they became engaged and got married in Bowral, New South Wales in 2016.
