She should be a loved-up newlywed, lost in domestic bliss with husband Brody (Jackson Heywood).
So why does former party girl Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) find herself getting drunk after work with none other than River Boy Dean (Patrick O’Connor)?
Ziggy – disappointed when Brody has to cancel their romantic plans for the day due to an unexpected work commitment – challenges Dean to a drinking game at the garage.
‘Ziggy is still really young – she’s only 20 – and now she’s married, but she just wants to let loose a bit,’ says Sophie. ‘Brody is very focused on the future and wanting to have babies, and that’s overwhelming for Ziggy. She’s rebelling a little because she feels she needs to have some fun.’
Needless to say, however, Brody is anything but impressed when he arrives at the garage to find his wife somewhat under the weather.
Furious, Brody accuses Dean of deliberately getting his wife drunk.
‘Poor Dean always seems to get in trouble and get the blame for everything,’ says Sophie with a laugh.
‘Ziggy knows it was 100 percent her fault and she only has herself to blame. She does try to defend Dean, but she and Brody seem to be in a very different headspace.’
Certainly, Brody is in for a massive shock the next day when a hungover Ziggy drops a bombshell on him – and let’s just say it’s one that could potentially have quite an impact on their marriage!
‘What Ziggy says takes Brody completely by surprise,’ reveals Sophie.
