The Dancing With The Stars grand final has come to an end for 2024, and the winner of the mirror ball trophy has been crowned.
After impressive performances from Samantha Jade, Lisa McCune, and Ant Middleton, the judges had a hard time choosing between the three finalists.
But after the audience votes were added to the judges’ scores, there was a clear victor – and Lisa McCune became the champion.
Overjoyed, Lisa said: “I’m so thrilled!”
Her partner Ian added: “I’m over the moon.”
Meanwhile, third place went to Ant, and runner-up to Samantha.
After James Stewart and Nikki Osborne were eliminated earlier in the night, it came down to Samantha, Lisa, and Ant.
The final three were tasked with an encore performance of their choice, showcasing a dance from earlier in the series.
Samantha and her dance partner Gustavo were first up and chose to reprise their foxtrot.
Originally, the dance earned them a score a 39 out of 40.
This time around, Samantha and Gustavo ended with a score of 38.
Next to the floor were Ant and Alex, who danced the contemporary for the second time.
The judges gave them a score of 36, two points less than the total for their inaugural performance.
Last up were Lisa and Ian, who danced their Viennese Waltz.
They received the same score of 39 out of 40 from the judges.
With all three stars neck and neck in the tally, it truly did come down to the studio audience to choose the Dancing With The Stars winner for 2024.
