We have her diet secret! Tziporah tells New Idea that a healthy and disciplined exercise and diet regimen have helped her shed the kilos, and a lot of self-doubt.

‘I just won’t be overeating anymore, and my diet is now healthy,’ she tells.

Long taking solace in a cheese plate and wine as the stress of her aged care job took its toll, Tziporah is now cutting out the comfort eating.

‘I’m eating lots of veggies, drinking lots of water, and while I’m not a vegan, I don’t eat much meat,’ she explains.

She says that hypnotherapist Mark Stephens has helped her change her attitude to food, and she no longer seeks release in junk eating.

‘Now, whenever I pass the lolly section at the supermarket, a mantra Mark taught me rings in my ears: “I don’t want it, I don’t need it, I won’t have it!” And instead of stacking up on chips and cheese, I head for the carrots and celery!’

But Tziporah isn’t tearing herself up over dieting setbacks either and advises others to have the same attitude.

‘Don’t be dissuaded if you end up eating something naughty. Just keep trying – because it’s so worth it.’

Tziporah has also been exercising intently, but she is rolling back the time she’s putting into it, for a more sustainable lifestyle. With the healthy changes have come a healthy change in mindset – the best outcome of all.

‘To lose all this weight, I had to exercise for about four hours a day,’ she told New Idea. ‘But now that I’ve reached my target, I’ll only be working out for an hour or so each day.

‘It wasn’t a healthy lifestyle and it’s taken me a long time to break those long-standing habits. They were all tied in with the chronic depression I’ve suffered for years.

‘I no longer hate myself, I actually really like me!’
