It’s no secret that Tom Cruise, 53, has been absent from his 10-year-old daughter, Suri’s, life.
But according current issue of In Touch Weekly, it’s been almost three years since the two have last seen each other!
A new report actually claims that Tom hasn’t seen his little girl in person in 1,000 days — and that all communication between them has stopped as well.
The reason? According to an insider, the distance lies within Scientology and the organisation’s controversial “disconnection” policy, a measure which forces members to disassociate from people not involved with the religion.
“Tom eats, breathes and sleeps Scientology,” the insider states. “He’s disconnected from Katie, and then de facto from Suri, because of her connection to Katie. He hasn’t seen her since she was 7.”
“They used to Skype and text, but that trailed off drastically,” says a second source. “He uses his film commitments as an excuse, but the truth is that doesn’t hold much weight with Suri anymore.”
Tom has maintained a busy schedule and put out at least one film every year since his divorce from Katie Homles including Rock Of Ages and Jack Reacher in 2012, Oblivion in 2013, Edge Of Tomorrow in 2014 and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation in 2015.
