Rebecca Selley is proving to be climbing The Voice ranks with her gorgeous ballads, but in a new interview with WHO, the singer revealed who the inspiration behind her performances has been – none other than her coach Kelly Rowland!
“I didn’t expect to just be on team Kelly!” she tells WHO.
“I know you see yourself with a coach, but when it actually becomes a reality, she’s [Kelly] surpassed all my expectations,” she continued.
Rebecca also said thus far, she’s had a delightful experience alongside her mentor.
“It’s honestly better than what I thought… With someone of her status, you don’t know what to expect when the cameras aren’t rolling, but she’s honestly the sweetest, she’s a genuine person.”
“When cameras are off, I really did connect with her on another level – aside from music, as a mother, as a woman and as a person in the industry who’s been so successful – she’s a total inspiration for me. But yeah, the sweetest person, and so encouraging to all her artists and I think that’s the most important thing.”
