Former Today host Sylvia Jeffries has responded to rumours she might be expecting her first child.
After news surfaced in a report published by Daily Mail that Peter Stefanovic’s wife was pregnant, Sylvia took to Instagram to slam the article.
“Nope, not pregnant,” she wrote in the caption alongside a screenshot of the article in question. “The only one fuelling that rumour would be you, @DailyMailAU. But thanks for the subtle reminder to wear spanx on all casual outings.”

A Twitter user then joked: “If you gently touch your tummy, what are we to expect?”
To which she responded: “That I was feeling very satisfied with my breakfast.”
The joke in question referred to the article’s insinuation that Sylvia touching her stomach suggested she was expecting.

Sylvia married her husband Peter in 2017 and this year she announced she was leaving the Today show along with her fired partner who also worked for the network.
Sources told New Idea that Sylvia being pregnant would be a ‘dream for her’.
‘It’s just what they need after the year from hell and they’re not letting anything overshadow this moment,’ they said.
