It lead to the all-female line-up with Georgie Gardener and Deborah Knight.
The star frankly confessed that the bootings came as a shock, and seemed to indicate that she felt she was caught up in a backlash that had nothing to do with her. She now works on evening tabloid show A Current Affair.
‘I didn’t see change on that scale coming… It was a lot to digest all at once,’ she told Stellar Magazine.

Amid speculation the changes were the result of the Ubergate scandal – when Karl and Peter allegedly slated network colleagues during an overheard phone call in an Uber – followed by Karl’s high-profile wedding to new wife Jasmine, Sylvia suggests that whatever happened, her allegiances remain.
‘[Karl and Jasmine] are beautiful people who love each other very much and that’s all I really care about,’ she told Stellar.
Peter, who unlike Sylvia was a participant in the Uber chat, told the Herald Sun that he was ’embarrassed’ and ‘ashamed’ by the drama and the way it affected his loved ones.
‘I got my wife (and brother into trouble; and I took that really hard,’ he said.
