When Australia went into lockdown last year as the COVID pandemic swept the globe for the first time, there was some sense of unity tying us all together despite being forced apart.

That feeling isn’t being replicated as parts of Australia are being plunged back into lockdown right now. Instead, people are feeling frustrated and outraged at slow vaccine rollouts and failures by the government.

Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg has perfectly voiced how many of us are feeling in a heated Instagram post.

“So – Lockdown is f**ked. There’s not enough vaccines for everyone in Australia (also f**ked),” Osher began.

“Our leaders pass the ball or responsibility better than the NSW team who wiped the floor with QLD last night (heaps f**ked, if you’re from Brizzo like me).”

The 47-year-old did try to look on the bright side with a snap of some beautiful birds, emphasis being on the word ‘try’.

“HOWEVER: Look how excellent these chubby Crimson Rosellas are? Just chillin’ on the lawn, having a snack.

“So it’s not all bad. It’s just mostly bad.

“But these delightful creatures make is better than bad.”

The doting dad and superhost followed up his rant with some hard facts and stats reflecting just how badly the government has bungled the vaccine rollout.

Sharing an animated graph, the statistics show how delayed and slowly the vaccine has been administered, leaving many Australians vulnerable particularly in this second wave.

“Late to the party and last in line,” Osher penned alongside the clip.

“Do not forget why we are locked down. Do not forget how our leaders have failed us. Do not forget this feeling on Election Day no matter how many ways it is spun at you. This feeling is real.

“Turns out it WAS a race. This is not a “vaccination horizon”, this is a masterclass in terrible planning and woeful messaging mixed with confusing and ineffective execution.

“Do not forget this on Election Day.”
