In a surprise twist, Josh and Austin won the elimination round on Monday night’s episode of My Kitchen Rules.
After coming bottom on the leaderboard, the homeschoolers wowed the judges with the tasty Jambalaya and Sweet Potato Pie.
The boys revealed to New Idea the secret behind their success.
“We sometimes find ourselves in situations where we have no clue what we’re doing but if we’re committed we will find a way through it,” the pair said.
“It’s going to be a bit of a bumpy ride in the beginning but watch out, watch out,” they added.
Judge Manu also confessed he put a little fire up them in order to get the best results.
“I felt that I needed to say something. It worked and it put a rocket up their bum and they did work hard and they went a lot further than I thought they would,” he said.
