Between rumours that he was an actor, his contrived affair with Ines and his cruel treatment of ‘wife’ Elizabeth, we think it’s fair to say that Sam Ball has been one of the most hated MAFS grooms to date.
Now, Sam has decided to set the record straight as to how real Married At First Sight really is and SURPRISE, it turns out there’s not a lot of truth in what we see.

Speaking on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa show this morning, Sam made some shocking claims about his role as an actor on the show, what really happened with Ines and that he and the cast ‘no longer speak’.
Not beating around the bush this morning, Fitzy and Wippa wasted no time in asking Sam flat out if he was an actor.
“No” Sam replied bluntly.
As to how Sam actually found his way on to the reality TV show, the tradie claims his intentions were noble: “I genuinely wanted to meet someone. I was busy with work doing 12 hour days and I hadn’t had the opportunity to get out there.”
Despite Sam claiming his intentions were genuine, he was quick to jump ship within a matter of days of his wedding to Elizabeth and start an affair with Bosnian born villain Ines – something the radio hosts pointed out.
However, when asked if he was ever really attracted to the legal assistant, Sam conceded that the affair was mostly pursued due to the producer’s manipulative antics and that nothing much happened between them.
“I was definitely quite attracted to Ines – in a little way – but yeah it was definitely pushed and manipulated more so,” Sam said, “Like the whole show, we all know it’s not completely real so it was definitely manipulated in that way”.
Sam continued: “Your words get switched around, you know they would say ‘it would sound great if you said this’. It sort of just progresses and then you’re in the moment.”
It seems that Sam hasn’t left the show on good terms – with anyone.
The 26-year-old aspiring actor revealed that not only has he not contacted anyone, but he’s gone as far to block Ines.
“No, I’m not in contact with anyone from the show. [Ines] is blocked.”
If you thought we had all seen the back of Sam, he confirmed on the air that he makes his return at the ill-fated reunion:
“There’ll be fireworks it’ll be massive.”
