They were lucky enough to find love on Married At First Sight.
But despite the distance between their hometowns proving a topic of frustration on the show, Simon and Alene have revealed they are destined to make it work.
“We are enjoying the distance relationship,” Sydney-based Alene told Confidential.
“The show just finished she we are just trying to learn the ropes. I have a lot to organise in my life and so does Simon so we aren’t planning too far ahead.”
“We have daily contact and are going to try and see each other once a month,” she added.
Although business owner Simon, 37, currently lives and works in Queensland, his relationship with Alene has continued to thrive since filming wrapped up.
Infact, the couple confessed to A Current Affair they were already making plans to start a family.
“I think having twins is the best option,” Alene said excitedly.
“One pregnancy, two kids. Why would you fall pregnant twice when you can do it in one go!”
But dispelling any rumours the lovebirds are expecting, the 31-year-old nurse was quick to set the record straight:
“I’m not pregnant right now… But it might happen in the future, who knows, we’re open!”
