Cartier Rose Surjan, 19, may be the youngest contestant on this season of Love Island – but she certainly doesn’t act like it!

The religious lifeguard from Sydney considers herself a ‘born again’ Christian who will stick to her morals while trying to find love in the villa.
Speaking to New Idea, Cartier reveals she won’t be having sex with anyone on the island and hopes to find a respectful man she can start a family with.
“I will not be having sex on this show, that’s not something that I would give away,” Cartier confesses.
“I have to obviously be in a relationship long enough to see. I’m happy to kiss though!”
A strict Pentecostalist, Cartier wants to meet a man who will go to church with her and respect her beliefs.
But as Cartier found Jesus later on in life, she admits she didn’t wait to have sex for the first time before marriage.
“I have had sex. Like, I’ve popped my cherry,” she confesses.
But the teen does have some controversial views about same-sex relationships.
“With same–sex marriage, I’m a Christian, I don’t believe
in it, but I’m never going to discriminate against someone and make them feel uncomfortable about themselves,” Cartier says.
Despite her young age, Cartier doesn’t have any plans to get drunk or silly while filming the Channel Nine show.
She admits to enjoying the odd Champagne – but that’s all.
“I’m not a clubber, I’m not someone that goes out, gets drunk or gets smashed,” she says.
“I’m that person who will have one drink if I’m in a restaurant or something, but I’m not a party person, and not someone that raves.”
Cartier applied for Love Island to find ‘The One’ and hopes she can start a family with someone soon.
“I don’t want to rush marriage, [but] I would like to be a young mum,” she says.
“I want my kids straight after each other.”
After coupling up with Gerard in the first episode, perhaps Cartier will find her prince charming and family
man after all!
She’s used to spending time with guys, admitting that her group of friends is mostly male.
“I’m in a group of guys. It’s like seven guys and me,” Cartier
laughs.
But will the bubbly brunette go the distance with Gerard?
