While it’s not seen on air, the Bachelorettes arrive at the mansion a few days before the first cocktail party is filmed.
Turning up two days late, the Sydney accessories designer confided in her new housemates that she’d been at the funeral of someone ‘very dear’, and almost quit before she had met Matty.
‘She was struggling,’ says a source. ‘It was very tough for her because everyone had met and picked rooms and formed bonds before she even came.’
But after getting the first kiss from the handsome Bachelor, it seems Laura, 30, is glad she stuck around.
‘They are both smitten with each other,’ says the source. ‘She is absolutely one of Matty’s favourites.’
