As the ink dries on his divorce papers with Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom has checked himself into rehab.
Over one year since the former NBA star’s near-fatal overdose in a Las Vegas brothel, Lamar has reportedly been admitted to a facility in San Diego.
‘It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life,’ a source tells E! News. ‘He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety.’
In October last year the troubled basketballer was rushed to hospital after taking a cocktail of drugs at Nevada brothel. While he was only given hours to live, Lamar went on to defy doctor’s expectations.
Since then, the troubled sportsman has been plagued by reports of drug use and homelessness.
‘[Lamar] is doing well,’ a source previously told E News!. ‘He is determined to stay on the straight and narrow [path]… and he is doing the work required to achieve that.’
